converts to 3.3 likelihood of getting in to Harpur?

You need to give more information, level of classes, SAT’s, EC’s. If strictly regular track HS classes, with a 88 GPA, I don’t think so at Bing. With AP, and Honors, and a good SAT score, possible?

Half dozen honors, one AP, average EC’s, average SAT/ACT, 1440/1600, 31.

GC said high reach, friends say no chance. From my HS last year, 131(608) applied, 10 accepted according to Naviance.

Binghamton Instate, is a reach for a lot of smart, well deserving kids, you definitely have a chance, a good chance with your great SAT scores, and ACT scores. I wouldn’t count on it, and make sure to apply elsewhere, to have other options. Good luck! My son also applied. My older son did not get in, applied 2008, Instate, 2AP’s, no honors, 1260 SAT’s, 89 overall GPA. Not too upset about it, is at JMU, doing well and loving it! The year he applied, it seemed that BING was really difficult to get in, although a lot of OOS seemed to get in with lower STATS. Admissions is really difficult to predict. Where else did you apply?

Columbia, NYU, Syracuse & Umass

Columbia = high reach
NYU = low reach
Syracuse = match
UMass (Amherst?) = safety
…
Binghamton = high match (Your SAT might push you through.)
