hey!
what would be my final GPA at the end of my junior year if I got A’s in 6 of my classes and B’s in the remaining 2 (eight total classes)
Out of these eight classes:
- one class is 3.75 credits
- two are 6 credits
- one is 1.25 credits
- and the remaining four at 5 credits each
Someone please do the math from (cuz I suck) and let me know what my final junior GPA could be
Also what is the highest possible GPA I could have.
Not enough info given. We’d need to know the weight of the classes you got the B’s in
3.70
((63)+(53)+(64)+(354)+(3.754)+(1.254))/((26)+(4*5)+3.75+1.25)
also another edit:
my freshman year was 2.8
and my sophomore year was 2.6
how do u average the final gpa?
Depends on number of total credits for freshman year and sophomore year.
Same as the equation given above. Multiply every course grade by the number of credits for that course, add those all up, then divide that total by the total number of credits.
Assuming relatively consistent course loads, it would be around a 3.03.
Thanks, and what if I get all A’s?
Review your pre-college math, since calculating GPA (including what-if scenarios) is a simple application of pre-college math.
Yes, it will be much faster to change a few numbers in a spreadsheet, or even punch them into a calculator by hand, than coming here for every scenario.
Plus, “cuz I suck” isn’t going to get you through college math courses. Or the SAT/ACT. Or life.
I took the sat already and got a 1530. I’m pretty sure I know how to do math. I was just asking how to calculate it faster because I tried online calculators but I wasn’t sure if those were correct. thanks for ur input tho
