I feel so lost... GPA help?

I don't know how to calculate my GPA. I know all of my grades, but my school uses a 6 point scale. How do I figure my weighted/unweighted GPA for a chances thread?

I’d suggest Googling ‘GPA conversion’. I’ve used it before, you just need the number of credits a class is and your grade. I hope this helps!

But some things divide by letter grade (ex. A- is a 3.5) and some do it just numerically? I don’t know which is right :(

And what classes count for GPA?

Here’s a link for you. The first is fairly simple, you really don’t need to do much of anything besides enter according to the %.

[GPA Calculator](GPA Calculator, How to Calculate Your Grade Point Average)

I think you take all the classes, minus like lunch. I do, at least

Here is how I tell most people to do it.
If you took a class and got an A, give yourself 4 points. Got a B, three points. C = 2 Points. D = 1 points.

If it was an AP/IB class, an A = 5 points, B = 4 Points, C = 3 Points, D = 1 Point F = 0 Points.

Add it up and divide by the total number of classes.

Normally, that would work, but you can’t just do it, you need to do it by the number of total credits (which can differ from number of classes). And honors classes (at least at my school) count for (for example:)

A: 4.5
B: 3.5
C: 2.5
D: 1.5

But I’m not exactly sure what the difference is between weighed and unweighed. My school has a computer system that just tells us our unweighed GPA.
