wow so late to ask this question...but i must clarify...
Ok for all this time...i thought that all private colleges see but completely ignore ur freshman and senior year gpa in their calculations like the ucs...Is that right? Like the stats listed from average acceptance into a school, the gpas do they only include 10-11th grade in it?

Bump%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% >.............................

bump....=(

i dont know, but i want to know as well...bump bipity bump...adcoms, help, please!

ok now i believe that every private does it differently...and no one really knows how they weight it

also i am soo confused on how i calculate my weihgted gpa now...do i calculate +1 for honor courses that aren;t counted as honors for ucs when i weigh my gpa for privates? =( sigh

As a california resident, the following info definetly applies to CA > I dunno about other states.

UCs and CSU's >>> take up to 8 semesters of approved honors classes and ap classes into account when weighting your GPA ( for grades 10 - 11 only)

privates>>>> varies school by school... for example, UOP does not take in weighted grades at all when calculating your GPA but Saint Marys takes in your weighted GPA.
Privates generally take a look at your grades from 9-11/ and [12 ( 1st semester) depending on when you apply] when calculating your GPA

HOPE THIS HELPS!!! ask me if you have anymore questions :)

Just google gpa calculator and you'll find several programs that allow you to plug in grades for a gpa.

Is it true that Princeton still does not look at freshman year GPA...I always thought that was a myth.
