Perhaps this was discussed elsewhere, but I cannot find the answer. When looking at college stats, schools will often report the “average GPA” of incoming freshman. Is this the average GPA of students upon graduating from high school, or the average GPA when submitting an application. For instance, my daughter will likely finish-up junior year with a 3.69 unweighted GPA. When researching colleges and looking at average GPA, I’m not sure if we take this junior GPA into account or factor-in that it may go up or down a tad by graduation. Thanks!
I’d recommend that you research colleges that makes sense given her current academic stats (GPA, standardized tests etc.). Your daughter will get into and enroll in a college before her final GPA (including senior year) is known…
GPA at time of application is what is usually quoted so GPA by end of Junior year and could include summer courses prior to Senior year.
Some schools only take into account 10-11th grades while others will include 9-11th grades. Some schools will also ask for Senior Mid-year transcripts.
As stated by @happy1, fornmulate her college list based on her GPA currently.
It depends on when they publish that number. For CDS, it would be for enrolled freshmen that they have the final grades from senior already.
