Ok on my transcript(I am currently a junior this year) it says my GPA is a 95.03... so is this really a 4.0 and should I be proud of myself to have it(I have a pretty rigorous courseload)

I think it depends on the scale used, I don't really understand the 4.0 scale (is a 95 a 4.0... 100?) as we only do it out of a 100 too... but yes, you should be proud of that. =P

What is an A at your school? If A = 4 = 90-100, then yes, your GPA is a 4. If you use any signs then it gets screwy. Be forewarned, however, that numerical grades make it a lot more difficult than normal letter grades in terms of class rank. Some colleges may recalculate it to a 4, while others may leave it alone.

No, not necessarily
You can get a B and an A and have a 90 percent.
But if you get a B on the 4 scale, you can never get to 4.0, you would be at 3.5
So though a 95 seems liek a 4.0, any B would mean it would be less

what grendunn said is right/wrong... even though ih you have a B it wouldnt make it a 3.5 .. well grades out of a 100 define someones grade better than a 4.0 scale.. i believe anything 95 and better is a 4.0 which is crappy for someone with like a 100 which is a 4.0 also

Yea, if you get an 80 in one class but a 100 in another class, you'd have a 3.5 on the 4.0 scale, but a 90 on the your scale. So it's really hard to compare between scales.

But I like the your scale (out of 100) better.
