GPA Dilemma

During Grades 9 and 10, i attended school outside the USA. when i returned, all courses were indicated as Regular(the only ones available at t he school i was at) at my new school. This realyl really brings down my Weighted GPA. Do u think i should mention it in the Additional Info space or jus let it be…bcoz colleges know what theyre doing?

Of course you should mention it.

They WILL see that you studied outside of the US for those years, so they'll understand if the weighted GPA is lower. If they see all As but a GPA lower than it seems it should be, they'll get it (I'd hope at least! seems it should be pretty obvious). If you're still worried, just say like "No honors or advanced placement courses were available at [school outside of the USA]"

they care more about the letter grades than the given GPA. They get GPAs on all different scales, with different schools giving different weighted amounts for different classes, so they aren't really comparable until they put them all together in their own formula.

If they see the 'A's, that's what matters. (And it wouldn't hurt to note that there were no advanced courses offered, but I'm sure they can figure that out)

u kno i would actually mention it...but writing just a single sentence in additional info .....feels a bit just not right. Besides its all over the place, the fact that i was at another school, in my ECs, my essay, all kinds of stuff.
