I'm a junior and I have a 4.125 (weighted) GPA right now, and I've been on the cross country/track team for 2 years and rank in the top 7 (by the way, do colleges see if you've been to invitationals and won medals and such?). The first AP exam I took (world history), I only got a 3... I've been taking a rigorous (but not the most; I've been taking 4 AP classes this year (APUSH, bio, calc AB, eng/lang)) course in my school, and I'm going to be attending a medical conference during the summer. I'm planning to take AP Gov/Econ, chem, and eng lit my senior year. I don't plan on taking AP Calc BC or Stats because I just really suck at math. I'm okay on community volunteering, though I'm not as passionate as others. I'm a treasurer of a little-known club, and a member of a scholarship type of club. I'm going to be taking my SAT this Saturday, and probably on March again. Should I take the MCAT as well? I really want to go into pre-med (to pursue pediatrics) schools like University of Washington/Washington in St. Louis, Johns Hopkins, Baylor College of Medicine, University of Colorado-Denver, etc. It's really hard for me and my family to do campus tours because of financial issues...
At this point, I don't know what else to do.
Any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Time out, you’re a jr in HS, not college, so there is absolutely no reason why you should be thinking about taking the MCAT or considering UG schools based on their medical schools. Except for the few colleges with combined BS/MD programs, UG and med schools are completely different entities; and you’re applying to UG colleges, not med schools.

Please go to the PreMed Topics forum and read some of the sticky threads to get a better understanding about picking an UG school and how med school admissions works.

Take a look at the CA, there are places to describe your activities and awards.
