gpa first two years

hello everyone!
i go to a small liberal arts school and would like to continue my education by doing an MA in political science.
My GPA first two years was low, it started of as 2.79 first semester freshman year, then got to 3.1 by the end of sophomore year. For the first semester of my junior year I got a 3.79, and my cumulative GPA at this point is 3.3 (I am right now second semester junior year)
If I continue doing well, will the schools still accept me? do they look at freshman/sophomore year gpa?
I am an international student going to a liberal arts college in US.
Second of all, based on my GPA what kind of a colleges should I be looking at?
Top 30, 50 or 100? I have no idea!
Help!
I currently do a research internship, although not in political science, but history, and my school does not have a major, it has a Great Books program.

I don’t know about polsci BUT for life sciences grad school is more about connection and also research experience outweigh your GPA. Do awesome research, publish papers, first author undergrad in normal journal would be weighted much much much much much more than GPA. or even 2nd author.

Work with well known prof for LoR. Also kill the GRE. I had lower GPA than you and got in top 15 with 800Q (required for life sciences, maybe polsci you are weighed by Verbal + analytical more) 550V GRE, two second author papers, and couple years research.

Imo research exp+papers > LoR >>>>>>>> GRE = GPA

But this is life sciences. Prob diff for polsci. Just my one cent :)
