GPA for Acceptance

I know this has been asked a million times ,but what is the avg GPA for acceptance to Stanford?

I have 2300+ SATs but a very low GPA=3.74 UW
Our school does not weight , but I am in the most rigorous course load possible.
I am junior btw.

Thanks and good luck all those who are attending!

mehhh… Dont apply early and try to pull that to a 3.81, which would be your maximum in the mathematical world we occupy. A 3.81 and a 2300+ would look good if you have the essays, ECs, and REC letters to back them up. Still, Stanford has been very weird lately so no hard feelings if you fail to impress. You could get in to an Ivy with scores like that. Good luck.

I got in with like a 3.6 UW. Weighted was much higher though. Focus on your weighted! SATs are excellent. I think if you pull your grades up a bit you could have a shot at SCEA. Make sure your ECs are on par too. And definitely don’t forget the essays! That’s what got me in. Good luck!

No. Trust me. Dont apply SCEA to Stanford unless your a recruited athlete or a URM.

ok thanks, i think i will wait and not apply SCEA
If you apply SCEA though is there a small boost to your chances similar to ED

Thx

Lobzz, what’s youre reasoning for not applying SCEA? (or is that just for this particular case?)

Yeah, I’m curious as to why you shouldn’t apply SCEA?

i am not too sure but i think it is so i can increase my GPA by the time i apply. Even if it is only a minor increase it is better…

another question is if SCEA gives a similar boost to chances like ED at other schools

THx
