GPA for Columbia GS (Transfer)

Hi, I am an international student from Japan.
I am currently attending a community college in NY.
I'm 22 years old and I have 2 years gap between HS and CC.

I'm planning to transfer to Columbia GS (Fall 2013). However, because this fall semester is going not well my GPA will be around 3.6 in end of this semester. (Now 3.76).
I guess this is very low GPA for applying to GS.

Actually, I'm pretty sure my essay is going to be very unique because I have some very unusual experiences. (Because of the contract I can't tell the detail in here, sorry.)
Even though, I'm really worry about whether I am eligible to get into the GS or not.
I still also have to get 100 point in TOEFL iBT test. (Now 86)

So, I want to ask your opinion. Do you think I am eligible?
Or any advice?

Thank you.

I don’t think with a school that has such a focus on different aspects of your life that one part is make or break. A ‘B’ average is generally required so I’d say that GPA is fine. My GPA in college dropped due to medical reasons (still B average) but I have other aspects of my application that can show my interest and ability, it’s a holistic thing. especially for a school like GS.
