Hello all,

I finished freshman year with a 4.0 and sophomore year with a 3.87 GPA wise. Last semester I ended up with 3 C's 1 B and 3 A's. I go to the governor's school around here and i take all dual enrollment classes with Radford University, for chemistry calculus and statistics. Sadly the dual enrollment classes are the one which I made C's in. What will my GPA look like after this? I feel it may really affect my college acceptance since junior year is when students are really supposed to excel.

Thanks

Three Cs is far from ideal, it is ever so slightly better that they where in college classes. What colleges are you looking to apply to?

Maybe Virginia Tech or University of Virginia, I have a 1960 on my SATs. I guess a reach would be George Town or Carnegie Melon. I really want to be either an Investment Banker or a General Surgeon but I know I can’t and don’t really want to go to any of the ivies.

Georgetown and CMU are probably a bit unrealistic (I am assuming you have around a 3.0 right now). How are your ECs?

I have a 3.47 unweighted right now. Luckily this six weeks i have all B’s and i think i have found my groove in the college classes. My ECs are just ehh, 9th grade i played golf and swam, 10thgrade just golf and NHS 11th grade tennis NHS MACC which is an academic conference and an after school social studies club. PLus volunteer rescue squad 10th grade and on Also im going to do an online competition for economics this year.

We have the same GPA, about the same SAT scores and my grades went the same way yours did… Weird…

That is weird. Where are you hoping to go to college?
