GPA or actual transcript?

Do colleges focus more on your GPA or the actual grades on your transcript? I’m asking because I have a decent weighted GPA, but I’ve gotten multiple B’s throughout my high school career. Will colleges care more that I have a good GPA, or will they be hindered by my transcript, excluding ECs and essays?

There are many different ways that high schools calculate GPA, so the number by itself is meaningless.
Colleges will look at your transcript and your school’s grading policies/GPA formula to understand your grades and to put them in context.

Most colleges ignore the GPA, and re-calculate it according to their own policies. They look at the actual grades you got- so as to whether the Bs will hurt you, they might at more selective schools- but I’m assuming since you said you have a good weighted GPA, some of those Bs could be in AP/honors classes, and colleges look for that rigor.
