GPA or AP?

I'm currently a sophomore taking AP World History, and needless to aay, it's is quite the challenging course insofar as I've only managed to attain a B average and will probably only do so by the semester's end.
HOWEVER, my school also offers a pre ap world history class that is said to be much easier and still gives the 5.0 GPA weight-age.

My question is: Is it still worth it to stay in WHAP?

Because in the end, GPA won’t matter as much as getting out of two GE classes. [Making this generalization due to lots of uncertainty of info]

How many other non-A grades will you have?

IMO it’s worth it to stay in the AP class unless you start getting a C. Course weightings are arbitrary (every school weights stuff differently) and don’t matter that much.
