I just have screwed up my english test, which will make my final mark as an A- instead of an A. That will give me 3.869 GPA instead of 4.0.

I'm so depressed that I even had two drinks in this morning right after the test was over. It was a sad day all day long, and I calculated the GPA over and over again, although the number did not change regardless of how many times I tried.

How will this affect my chance to transfer to CAL or Columbia, my fantasy?

lol wow. as was posted above.. what was that 12 credits? "so depressed you had two drinks" good lord... you must have been wasted. Come on, I think its about time you get a life.. or something close to it.

I don't know about your chances to transfer to CAL or Columbia, although I suspect there will no effect at all.

What will affect your chances, in everything you do in life, is overreacting to issues that are not even issues. And having two drinks to address the problem.

An A- is not a problem An A- is not a problem. An A- is not a problem. Repeat after me. An A- is not a problem. If necessary, go write that on the blackboard 100 times. It might sink in. ;)

Get over it, pretty ridiculous to make a thread about this. You must have what, like 10 credits? Nobody is going to cry for you, and for you to drink alcohol over your problems shows your poor character.

whoa jonathan, you guys, hahah be constructive at least.

if I were you phgpwb, lay off the drinking over school because it is not worth it. Just keep your GPA up around where you are at and you will be just fine. And if you are not an enlgish major (and even then its not bad) who cares about that A-? Get more units done and your grades will be buffered from these pesty A-'s .
