My first year in college I did pretty poorly, as in, about a 2.5. I'm not in my 2nd year, and this first semester I should be getting a 3.0 or a 3.1, which is still not great. Now, I have a few options to see where to go from here.

A) I can retake 3 classes (my university allows 20 credits of retakes) next semester, as well as my Junior year. This would bring my Freshman GPA up to a 3.07. The downside is, I would be using 12 credits that I could be using on other, more advanced classes, making it so I could only take around 12 "new" credits in these semesters.

B) I can just forget about the freshman year classes and take 16-18 credits of more advanced ones in the 300-400 level, and hopefully this will show them that I actually know the topics well.

C) I can only retake the class I did poorly in from my 2nd semester of my freshman year, and not retake my first semester classes.

My major is chemistry and the classes I did poorly in were calculus and a humanities class my first semester, and calculus in my 2nd semester. Sadly, I can not take classes over the summer as I'll be spending all of my future summers doing research.

Thanks.
