GPA - unweighted, weighted capped, weighted uncapped

For UCs, which GPA is the most important and determining? Unweighted, Weighted Capped, Weighted Uncapped? Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t all UCs when looking at your “UC GPA” only allow honors/ap weights for up to 8 semesters? (weighted capped) However, for those who take more than 8 semesters, there is a potentially higher “uncapped weighted GPA.” Do they even consider or look at this uncapped GPA? Then there is just unweighted. Of these three different types of GPAs, how would u order their importance? With all these AP/honors classes, it seems like figuring out how good your GPA is is kind of confusing/tough…its scary that a student with a 3.5 unweighted could have a higher gpa than a kid with a 4.0 unweighted…

Weighted, capped GPA is the most important.

However, they will still see your unweighted GPA and make decisions accordingly.

uncapped is used for elc calculations, so that too, is important.
