do med schools care as much about your overall GPA as they do your Science GPA?

Both GPAs are important, but if one were to select one of the two to attach more significance to, it would be your Science GPA.

I usually think they’re about equally weighted. But that means that any particular science class is worth three times as much as any particular non-science class, since it’s about half of your overall GPA and all of your science GPA.

Both are important, but an occasional less than stellar grade in the non-science courses is less concerning than the same in a science course
