<p>if your course load is hard enough, and proves that you’re challenging yourself, there’s really no difference in my mind with your given scenarios - any of them. maybe a 3.6 is a little low with a 2400 (might seem like you slack a little in class, and just aced the SAT - and mean that you have the potential to do better, but didn’t in school), but if you have lots of extracurriculars and proven passion for your major, it should be fine for cornell. seriously, though, a 3.7+ means that most of your grades are generally around an A- to A+ range, right? so that’s fine</p>
<p>colleges know that some people just don’t do very well with the SAT format - that’s why they accept the ACTs also, which some say are more “well-rounded”</p>
