My school uses the 4.0 college board GPA scale where 93-96 is a 4.0 and 97-100 is also just a 4.0. If before AP class multiplier my average is let’s say a 95 for example, would they just see a 4.0 or a “lower” level 4.0. Also do the colleges average my grades with their own conversion methods so my ‘perfect’ 4.0 is 3.96 or something to them! Please help me understand what’s going on…
Different high schools use different ways to compute GPA but universities will see your actual grades. They then make decisions based on criteria that we don’t get to see, but based on your actual grades (and other information such as SAT/ACT scores and essays and so on).
There are a lot of universities. If you pay attention in class, keep ahead in your homework, and do well in classes, then you have a great chance at getting into very good universities.
