gpa

what is the formula for gpa, is it the same as the UC's, could anyone tell me what that is im just curious to see what mine is thnx

related question - when USC says their average GPA is 4.0, is that weighted?

I would think so...otherwise USC would be quite competitive. I know UC's report weighted grades for their averages. For instance, UCLA is something like 4.2, so obviously it's weighted.

Most likely, intelliot. I would rather report my weighted gpa than my uw, and usc probably would prefer that too :) How it recalculates gpa is a mystery to me

When did we report GPAs to USC? Just from our transcript/classes?

I have no idea what my weighted GPA is.

USC recalculates your gpa from your transcript
I don't remember if we ever reported (it's been too long :P ), but as long as you sent your transcript, you're ok

USC does weight gpas. They also weight your gpa depending on how difficult your high school is. So like I go to a competitive private school and automatically get a .5 gpa bump. Makes my gpa look awful nice.

Ah. I seriously hope that they ignore freshman year.

Come to think of it, I hope they just look at Junior year. Hehe.

im pretty sure they dont use freshman gpa.

If they weight grades AND give a bump to competitive private schools than my GPA would be pretty high....too bad Duke doesnt do this.... : (
