Gpa

Does Stanford recalculate GPA? If they do, do they weight it on a 4.0 scale, where an A is a 4, a B is a 3 and so on, or do they factor in the +'s and -'s (so that an A+ is a 4.3, and an A- a 3.7)

Im debating whether to send in my first quarter grades
I have: A+ A A- A- A- and I don't want them to look down on this, will they?

your a joke. your merely posting that so that people can stroke your ego. stop wasting peoples time and ask legit questions like about logistical aspects of the application process, what stanford's like, etc.

The GPA is a worthless term in today's college admissions process.

All they want to see is that actual grade you got so if you got an A you'll be good. I agree with the person above me, seems a little bit like a troll post, why the hell would anyone not send in straight A's?

that wasnt why I posted that at all... I'm just trying to find out how recalculates gpa

Stanford doesn't recalculate GPAs from what I was told by an admissions officer.

I've heard that they take out +s and -s from grades and don't count freshman year, but this is hearsay.

Does anybody really know?
