Gpa

What foes a 94 or 95 or 97 translate into with the gpa?

an A is 4 pts so im guessing that would be a 4

If you are using a 100 point scale then likely all three would be an A at a school that does not use + or -. At those that do use + or -, it could vary. All three could be an A but the 94 might be an A- or the 97 an A+ although often A- is 90-93 and A+ 98 and above. An A is a 4 on a 4 point GPA scale, and A- is a 3.67, and an A+ is either a 4 or a 4.33

You cannot really figure it, because a GPA of a 95 could mean all 95s, or a mixture of 100s and 95s, etc. Those would give you a GPA of 4.0 and 3.5 respectively. There are conversion charts that usually list:

95-100 = 4.0
94 = 3.9
93 = 3.8

I don't really know the entire chart, I only know that you cannot simply say well, 93 is an A, and my GPA is 93, so I have a 4.0...it doesn't work like that. For recalculating GPAs in college, I'm sure there are many methods of doing it.

How does a weighted GPA work? My school doesn't use it. I have a 4.0 with 4 AP classes, 1 running start 4.0, 5 honors classes, and 8 others. Can anyone calculate that?

What does this have to do with SAT and ACT Tests & Test Preparation?

I calculate GPA the way Jyankees showed it. I don't do it based on letter grades.
And arsenal, I think weighted GPA depends on your school. Different schools weigh AP classes different. In my school, you get an extra 10% on your grade for every AP class. So if I were to get an 85 in APsomething, it would be calculated as a 93.5 (85+8.5). Honors classes aren't weighted at my school.

My school adds .3 to your grade for AP and Honor classes. For example if you get an A 4.0 , then it will count as 4.3. We have very few honor classes however.
I know some schools that add 1.0 to the grade.

We get .3 for APs only.

probably. Its most likely
