How do I calculate my GPA?

<p>My school grades out of a 100 scale. I have a 95.14 weighted avg., what is this out of 4.0?</p>

<p>what number does your school say is an A? most likely either 90 or 94, either way its a 4.0.</p>

<p>My understanding (please correct me if I'm wrong) is whatever your school counts as an A (generally 95) is a 4.0. For every point higher on the 100 scale, your GPA gets 0.1. So, 97 = 4.2, 101 = 4.6, etc.</p>

<p>Depends. If all your grades are within 2 points of your average, you'd have a 4.0. If your grades are like 100, 80, 92, 79, 100, 100, etc. then your GPA will be different.</p>

<p>How so? It's the Grade Point AVERAGE, which shouldn't be effected by the terms from which it results. Could it be that your school was the exception? Because I can't imagine that your GPA would be increased or decreased due to a wide range of grades.</p>
