Gpa

I currently go to a school in vancouver and our GPAs are calculated with percentages. Instead of using the 4.0 scale, we use 100% etc.

I was just wondering how percentages look in the eyes of the BS admission office. For example, a 93% would equal...? If anyone knows, please post.

Oh and also at my school an A is an 86%... but saying that your average is a 4.0 when it is 86% seems kinda... eh. Well I'm not sure if that's the case for everyone because at my old school an A was a 93% so I'm still getting used to the system here.

Thanks ( :

anyonee?

bump.

It depends. At an American school your GPA would be something like this.

97-100 = A+ = 4.3
93-96 = A = 4.0
90-93 = A- = 3.7
87-90 = B+ = 3.3
83-86 = B = 3.0
80-83 = B- = 2.7
77-80 = C+ = 2.3
73-76 = C = 2.0
70-73 = C- = 1.7
67-70 = D+ = 1.3
63-66 = D = 1.0
60-63 = D- = 0.7
<60 = F = 0.0

Actually at most smerican schools a 100% would be a 4.0. My old school did it on a 5.0 scale though so a 100% was a 5.0. I think my GPA last yeary was 4.125 and it equaled like a 92. Again that’s on a 5 pint scale. Although if you take Pre-Ap or AP classes you can get a higher GPA. For example at my school if you take all Pre-Ap or AP classes you could potentially get a 6.0 (which was the maximum.)

I know my scale is not uniform among all American schools. However, it is the scale PSAT gives you when you enter your grade/GPA for data purposes.
