I'm just wondering how to convert my grades into the GPA format. My school's a highly selective prep school (if that plays any part) with unweighted grades. My total cumulative average with AP's (I don't think that matters either because the grades are unweighted there too) is a 93%. I rank in the top 11% in my class to give you my standing. Does someone know what this average translates into in a GPA terms? Thanks so much.

This is how my school does it.

93.0001%-100%=4.0
87.00001 %-93%=3.7
80%-87%= 3.3

I'm almost positive that's correct.

Mine is:

4.0=A
3.0=B
2.0=C
And anything below a C is an F (we dont have Ds)

Unweighted:
A (90-100) = 4.0
B (80-90) = 3.0
C (70-80) = 2.0
etc.

Weighted
A in AP class = 5.0
A in Honors class = 4.5
A in regular class/B in AP class = 4.0
B in Honors class = 3.5
B in regular class/C in AP class = 3.0
etc.
All 90-100 = A, 80-90 = B, etc. rules apply.

And this would be for individual classes, then all averaged together. 93 wouldn't be a 4.0 for example. You'd have to know your grades in all your different classes.

If you're asking what 93% translates to in a 4.0 GPA scale, I got 3.72.

alright thanks guys

I have a 95.333 Weighted...what is that ?

OMG... sooners.brian i want your scale my gpa would b raised by like half a point
