Grad school for philosophy

<p>Hey I am planning to major in Economics BA. With that degree can you apply for a grad school for philosophy? I am definitely taking few philosophy courses while at college... but do I have to major in philosophy?</p>

What if my undergraduate degree is in an area other than philosophy?</p>

<p>We do not regard that as a problem. As long as you took rigorous courses and did well in them, we are happy give your application the most serious consideration. While we do like to see some philosophy courses on a student’s transcript, it is not necessary to have majored (or minored) in philosophy to be a successful candidate. In general, we consider it an advantage for a student to have taken a selection of rigorous upper-level courses outside philosophy.
