Hello, I am going into my senior year at Rutgers University, slowly but surely preparing for the GRE/Grad School. I was wondering which loans I should be aware of for graduate school. I am looking to go out of state, so I know my loans will have to be hefty. Any bit of information will help my family and I in our journey to paying college off.

As a grad student, you can take the Plus Loan yourself. Complete a FAFSA and you can also get an unsubsidized Direct Loan.

Is this a masters or PhD? in what discipline?

before you dive into a pool of huge loans, have you accurately determined how much you will be earning and the cost of living where you will need to live.

Your family wont really be involved with grad loans unless they have promised to pay some/all of them. If so, let them take out their loans in their names, and take out yours in grad plus.
