Grad school

Anyone know how many Mawrters go on to grad school?

Found this on another CC thread-

"Graduate School
85 percent of BMC graduates pursue graduate school within 5 years of graduation. They pursue PhD's as well as degrees in medicine, law and business. Bryn Mawr proudly boasts a nearly 100 percent acceptance rate to law school and an 85 percent acceptance rate to medical school (the national average is in the 40s). Bryn Mawr ranks 1st in the country of its graduates who pursue PhD's in the Humanities and 3rd in all fields."

This quote is from #11. I'm not sure where they got their information from, however.

Found this article as well- <a href="http://www.biconews.com/article/view/2954%5B/url%5D">http://www.biconews.com/article/view/2954</a></p>

Mentions... "The fact that only 16% of seniors are going on to graduate or professional school next year may be indicative of a larger trend. In the past decade, there has been a significant decrease in the number of graduates at Bryn Mawr and Haverford that go on to further education immediately after graduation."

Hope that helps. ^_^

I recall reading that some where else too, but 85% seems incredibly high.

I don't think it seems that high when you consider that it's over a 5-year period and it includes every kind of study -- a master's program, a Psy.D. program, an MBA, law school, whatever. Or rather, it seems high in the sense that it's a great number, but not high in the sense that I view it skeptically.
