I’m going to be a sophomore at Baylor in the fall and decided to do a little research on some potential grad schools. I plan on double majoring in Finance and Real Estate and getting my Masters in Finance if I decide go to grad school. So I was wondering if you all had any recommendations on colleges with a good Masters program in Finance. So far, I’ve looked at the University of Houston which might be my number one choice and TAMU.
A couple of comments:
-
You just finished your freshman year – it seems to early to be looking at grad programs. I’d wait until junior year when you will have much more information (you will have taken more classes and have a better sense of what you like, you will have at least a two year GPA, maybe you will have done some internships etc.)

It is impossible to give meaningful suggestions without a GPA and GMAT scores.

The very top grad schools look for people with a minimum of 2 - 5 years of meaningful work experience demonstrating increasing responsibilities (as well as top notch GMAT, essays, recommendations). You might want to consider working between undergrad and grad school.
@happy1 Okay, sounds good! I wasn’t sure if I was suppose to start looking at grad schools early or not. Thank you for the feedback!
It’s GREAT to be focused on the future. But also, be focused on the PRESENT. Enjoy college. You only get to do it once. Work hard and chart your course for sure, but make sure you wring every ounce of fun out of today and enjoy the ride!
@rickle1 Will do! Thank you for your feedback as well!
