One grade in one class won’t decide your future. Continue to do your best in everything and move forward. Learn what you might have been able to do better and use that going forward.
AP Classes are college level classes (usually a college semester spread over a year in HS)…you took one as a sophomore and got a C. Not surprising.
Make sure you are prepared the next time you take an AP class. This is usually why people wait until Junior/Senior year. Also you may need to put more work into AP classes.
Will this ruin my chances of getting accepted into a good college??
Depends what you are classifying as “good colleges”. If you’re shooting for the Ivy League schools or top 15 then unfortunately your chances are likely exponentially smaller than if you had taken AP Econ your senior year. While this certainly will not derail your entire academic career, it may require that you reevaluate where you are applying, if and only if you’re currently shooting for top schools.
But remember there are 3000 colleges in the USA…i assure you will find one
