I was wondering if high school teachers can still change grades even though it was from last year...

Ask your guidance counselor

yes they can change it on the transcript

Why the hell would they change anything?

From last year as in last semester or as in one year ago?

If it’s last semester, it’s still possible. I got an 89.97 in one of my AP’s once and the syllabus said that there was a rounding policy, but my teacher didn’t notice and gave me a B. I talked to him over the summer and he said he’d change it to an A in September, which he did. I know a girl from the same class who had the same issue, but didn’t approach him until late December, and he said he wasn’t able to access the gradebook anymore (plus she had waited too long).

So if you have a valid reason for requesting a grade bump and your teacher agrees with it, I think it’s doable. Good luck!

This from like last yr… I asked my teacher if he could change my exam grade up at least one letter grade up because then it would give me a B overall in AP Government

We cannot answer for you, it depends on the school and whether your request has merit behind it. I’m sure they can but the question is whether they will.
