Grade D of chemisrty

<p>I am applying for colleges ranking top 20-30. My SAT and most of the academic grades meet the requirement. But chemistry is D - it is a very demanding course in my school. My question is: would this D affect the admission? The major that I am going to apply has no requirement on chemistry.</p>

<p>If everything else is solid, you can probably overcome one bad grade.</p>
