grade deflation

can somebody explain what exactly grade deflation is? why is it such a big deal?

its when a school tries to give more credibility to their grading system. basically, in a school w/o any grade inflation watsoever(like cornell), people get EXACTLY what they achieve(%wise) without any curve to help them.

its a big deal for people who need high GPAs to get into good grad schools, etc. it especially affects PREMED kids, who really need high gpas to get accepted to med school. nationwide, over 50% of premed applicants get REJECTED from EVERY SINGLE med school they apply to. and that doesnt even take into consideration the people who simply chose not to apply(cuz they thought they had no chance) or decided to give up the premed track and do something easier

sheesh........

that's why pton kids work so hard...

moral of the story? Go to your local community college and get a 4.0/4.0 :)

lol....nice one.. ;)

or go to cornell and suicide with a 3.0 or something----or end up becoming a nurse or pharmacist or something haha(yyukkkk male nurse?? pharmacy??)
