Society may limit our actions, but it cannot limit our thoughts. Even if society disapproves of our opinions, we are ultimately free to decide whatever we want. Those decisions may, of course, have consequences, but they are still ours to make.

Assignment: Are we free to make our own choices in life, or are our decisions always limited by the rules of society?

The rules of society always limits our decisions. Although society cannot limit our thoughts it can have harsh consequences if the society disagrees. Since there is no such thing as obtaining something for free, our thoughts, therefore, are limited.

An absolute dictator and once a ruler of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler achieved his goals only through power and force. The society that surrounded Hitler had no choice but to follow his plans and also broke the rules of his society in order to achieve his goals. However, a different society, the United States rebelled against Hitler's actions, which caused the death of Hitler. Although he was able to make any decisions due to his power he wasn't free from his decisions due to the consequences.

In Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, a group of stranded people forms a society and picks a person to become the leader. The people following the leader have no choice but to follow his orders. They were no longer able to make decisions for themselves. Therefore, they were limited from their own choices.

A president elected has many duties within a society. The duties of the president are to improve the countries state and other things such as avoiding impeachment. The president is free to do anything he wants, however, if the president does something to irritate the society the president may get impeached; contradicting what a presidents' duties are.

So are we able to make our own choices in life? From these examples it can be inferred that in the end, indeed, the society will limit our decisions.

I don’t know exactly how CB grades SAT essays, but I can say that you should watch out for grammatical errors and work on making your sentence structures clearer.
Sorry I can’t advise further!

This essay would probably get a 4, for some grammatical errors, good arguments but underdeveloped, and short length
