how does having 2 or 3 C’s in your transcript affect admissions

let me reword that... how does having a C in an AP course affect my overall 3.5 gpa to somewhere like BU, etc

oh dang lol. someone reply! I'm in the same boat :P

Of course it affects how they look at you. How much depends on the overall picture.

so, how does it affect it, will it drastically decrease my chances?

I would assume that it would depend on which college you're applying to..

if your overall gpa is decent, i would assume its fine. i had maybe one or two C's when i applied to BU - probably in physics courses, my worst subject - and i still got into smg with merit scholarship. make sure your sats are decent though

oh i see, ok thanks! :)

Yeah I think I had two C's on my transcript coming in and I'm a University Scholar at CAS. It obviously won't kill you, if your overall GPA is decent as well as your standing in your class (I was third decile so...haha) and you've taken some more rigorous courses, there's nothing wrong with it. ESPECIALLY if there's an improvement. My C's came my freshman and sophomore years, both in math classes.

I had a couple C's.
