<p>This might be a really retarded question but i just dont know. but how does ap credit recognition work? do you get grades for classes that you use ap credit for?</p>
<p>You get credits towards the 120 you need for graduation. There's no effect on your GPA.</p>
<p>keep in mind, there's a limit on how many AP credits you can get - or at least there is in CALS, which is really annoying. you can only get a max of 30 AP credits.</p>
<p>In Engineering, there is no limit on max AP credits, there's also no limit to how many credits outside the engineering college you take.</p>
<p>but yeah, they solely count as "transfer credits" and thus are not calculated into your GPA. They do allow you to skip out of the introductory courses, which are generally harder, and more of a weed-out.</p>
