I recently got admitted SCEA and my grades have been lower this semester. This is not due to senioritis, it’s mostly due to hard material and after a year in the IB program, I realized I should have picked different IB classes. Previously, I had a 3.97 GPA with all A’s and 5 A-'s. For this semester, I will have 1 B+ (IB Math SL), 2 B’s (IB Bio, IB Chem) and 5 A’s (IB English, IB History, IB German, IB French ab initio, IB Theory of Knowledge). Will I be fine? Do you think I will get the warning letter?
seems fine to me, and if those are the grades that you’re definitely going to get, don’t stress yourself out worrying about it. you got into yale! they’ll still want you even with a couple B’s. just try to keep your grades up next semester, and if you do need to be worried, i’m sure they’d reach out and let you know
No. Don’t get a D. Don’t commit a felony. Don’t post racist memes. Don’t have lied on your application.
It sounds like you have a reasonable explanation for ur lower grades. If they ask, just explain your situation and they will understand. I’m pretty sure they’re just checking in because they care about you.
The worst I’ve heard was a kid who got called up to New Haven to explain in person. He was dropping into the C range though. I’m 99% sure you’ll be fine; historically, kids have had B’s with no problem.
