I’ll keep this post short and sweet. I was accepted to Yale SCEA, but I’m a little concerned my current grades may lead to an angry letter from the admissions office. Any sort of insight regarding the odds of getting negative feedback from the AO would be much appreciated!
NOTE: In my province (I’m Canadian) an ‘A+’ is anything above 90%, ‘A’ is 80-89%, ‘B’ is 70-79%, ‘C’ is 60-69%.
Your possibly of getting rescinded is non-existent based on your current performance. Yale admitted you ad wants you to attend. As long as you don’t get a D, commit a felony, post offensive memes on FB , or have lied on your application, you’ll be fine. Good luck.
Second semester senior slump happens to the best of you. Kind of hard to stay motivated. My advice is to enjoy the last semester of your senior year. Enjoy spring break, go to prom, hang out with your high school buds. Your high school career is almost over - so enjoy. I do agree with above about watching your social media, including who else posts on your page. Finish the year strong and congratulations on your acceptance.
@TomSrOfBoston actually not true…
Have known 2 Athletic recruits who had their Admissions recinded from an Ivy.
OP…I think you are fine from what you have shared just don’t give into “spring fever” “senioritis” too much. Keep your eye on the prize and remember how hard you’ve worked!
Good luck! and look at this spring semester as a sprint to the finish line!
