And I want to go to a top-20 university. I have senioritis.

So what is the lowest grades I can get w/o having consequences?

The closer they are to the beginning of the year, the more important they are.

The lowest grade you can get without consequences depends on your courseload and the college in question.

Grades are important. Final grade reports, if they are bad, could result in your acceptance getting revoked. As DMOC said, it depends on the courses you are taking. If you are taking regular English, not honors or AP, and you get a D, that would be unacceptable as English is considered an easy A when not AP or honors.

In my first semester of my senior yr, I took 1 regular (A), 2 honors(A, B), and 1 AP (A).

This semester, I’m taking AP Physics , AP Gov, PE Tennis, and Spanish 4 (Honors) and my grades are 81, 83, 100, and 87. I know my grades aren’t too bad, but the colleges I’m looking at (Duke, Rice, Vanderbilt, WashU) are top-notch…and I’m a straight A student…

If i sound cocky, sry…

no, wakka. You’re actually below average compared to the rest of us, superior CC’ers…

“If i sound cocky, sry”…

I think if you keep a 3.0 you should be fine

anyone else?

Well I know most colleges have that rule where they can revoke the admission if you drop below the gpa you were accepted on but I don’t imagine it’s like a minimal drop, more like a severe drop.

I’ve never heard of a minimum GPA myself, which is why I posted what I said before.
