I know that we must leave blank the space "GPA", but now I want to know from people who got accepted in top schools which was their "grades average"..
Should I do the average of all four years? (9-10-11-12(first trimester))
Are 9th grade scores important? (In my country not, but I don't know if they are so important for admission.)

I'm worried about my 9th grade scores because I got "7 out 10", this year I got "8 out of 10" and the next I will get "9 out 10", which is outstanding , so I should work hard.
Might I balance my GPA with a 9 out 10 ?

I think that I might balance it with great SAT scores and wonderful EC's, I'm studing to success in National Physics Olympiad, but I'm not sure what do you think about it?

Ps: In my country we use a decimal scale that always is not considered, so teachers do what they want. They usually start from 9 or 8; 10 is an unusual grade. There isn't anybody in all italy who got a 10 out of 10, it's impossible becuase teachers don't respect the decimal system and because Italian school system is not easy.
Should I say it to colleges?

In order to get 10 in bio, I should win the Nobel prize.

I don’t know how other schools work, but we don’t have final exams. We have oral and written examinations and teachers can listen me when they want so I can be called 5 times for an oral examination in a trimester for each subject. This school system is so damn hard. :)

You can translate it to G.P.A. You can see it how you can doing it if you search it to google.

In my country we have the scale of 100. In my senior year i had 98/100.Olympiads are a good option. I succeed to the National Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics and I was in participation team of International one.

Universities are informed about educational systems of other countries so it will be not necessary:)
I think with high grades at SAT exams and good EC’s your great:)

Good luck and I wish you the best for my depth of my heart.:)

Thanks, I would like to be involved in Astronomy Olympiad, what books do you suggest me?
I’m going to buy some books by stephen hawking to practice my english and to start study astronomy, but I don’t know if there are more interesting books.

We come from different countries.Italy does not participate in IOAA I dont know for this year. You shoud seek about national olympiads, projects and such things.

I am talking about IOAA not for Olympiad Astronomy. IOAA is the International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics. They are totally different competitions. Also the age limit of IOAA is 20 not 16.
