Does anyone know anything about how the undergrad Ross classes are graded? Like in terms of grade inflation/deflation. I know the classes are tough, but are all classes curved so that only a small percentage can get good grades? Or maybe they're generous with the grading? Thanks.

The average Ross student maintains a 3.6 GPA at Michigan her/his first two years at the University, taking relatively challenging classes like Econ 1, II, Stats, Calculus, Accounting etc... So the level of students getting into Ross is pretty high. As such, I would expect Ross to grade its students less harshly than LSA.

the curve is tougher for the core classes than for the electives

for the core classes: the median is always a B. bottom 20% of the class gets a b- or below. up to 40% of the class can get an a-,a or a+.

electives: bottom 10% are awarded a b- or below, and up to 60% of the class can get an a-,a or a+. needless to say, the median ranges from b+ to a-.

to be honest, it is actually quite difficult to get less than a b-.
