Graduate Programs with Zero Application Fee?

Hi, Does anyone have a list of Graduate Programs that are free to apply to? similar to this on the undergraduate level:

Okay, maybe not list, just maybe name some of graduate programs that you know of that really do not charge Application Fees?

If this helps in anyway, I am an Econ/Math Undergrad student, looking for grad program possibly in finance, applied economics, and the like.

Thank you!

There definitely are grad programs out there with free applications. I am in biomedical research and I know Vanderbilt, Wash U St. Louis, and University of Utah - Salt Lake City offered free applications last cycle. I am not sure if their finance/econ grad programs offer free applications or if their programs are good, but it might be a good place to start. Good luck!

Thank you!! Appreciate it so much. Will look into those schools

Maybe you are just trying to add some free schools to your list, in which case this advice will be irrelevant. But you don’t want to select graduate programs on the basis of how much they charge for application fees. In fact, paying an application fee might save you money in the long run - you might get into a program with more assistantships and scholarship money, or a program that has money for conference travel, or a program that secures you a better job at the other end.

Also, some graduate schools do fee waivers. Even if they don’t have a formal one, it never hurts to ask if they will waive their fee for you.

Hi, yes it is primarily just to ass to my “goal” schools. Thank you!

haha i meant “add” not “ass” that was weird. Thanks again

Also keep in mind that a “free application” isn’t completely free. Often you still have to pay to send your GRE/GMAT scores and/or your transcript.

Very true! Thank you for the reminder!
