Graduate school for education?

<p>My D is a double music performance/theatre education major. She wants to be a high school theatre teacher, possibly teach English Lit also. Academically she is very strong and has thought about grad school to get a Masters in Education.</p>

<p>With the economy as it is, I think grad school now might be a good idea. Will a Masters in Ed. help her get a job or better job when she finishes?</p>

<p>It depends… for some schools it will help but most schools will want experience over another degree, some will see it negatively because they would have to pay her more.</p>

<p>Our son had a great opportunity to pursue masters directly after undergrad. So he took it. He does not regret his decision.</p>
