Graduate Schools Offering "Hybrid" Degree Options in Music Education and Performance

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking at potential graduate school programs to apply to in the upcoming fall semester. I am interested in pursuing a program that has interest in both Music Education and Performance. I do not have any sort of school size or location restrictions, so any area will do. I know the Manhattan School of Music offers this “dual degree” option at the Master’s level. - Does anyone know of any other institutions that offer a similar concept?

Hartt has a master’s in instrumental performance with a Suzuki Pegagogy emphasis.

You might want to check out Berklee’s Global Master’s program. Although it specifically does not emphasize teaching there is an emphasis on music as a force for social change and teaching could be part of that, especially since it has connections with various music festivals where students in the program do go and teach.
