Hi all,
I was accepted to the MMT program at Oberlin starting this June (yes, June). I realize there are very few graduate students at Oberlin and they’re all conservatory students, but where do they live? Is there on-campus housing specifically for grad students? Are there apartments that are usually lived in by Obie grad students/fifth years? If anyone could help me start the search for housing that would be really awesome. Thanks!

You’re not likely to get a knowledgeable response here (few Oberlin students ever check this board). I assume you will automatically qualify for off-campus housing status, but you should contact the ResEd office to find out. There is no on-campus housing specifically for grad students, as far as I know. You could also contact the Conservatory Dean’s office to ask about other incoming grad students who might be looking for people to live with.
Just wanted to confirm dave72’s answer. Grad students live off campus, and the easiest way to find those listings is the classifieds. There might be a facebook group to find other roommates, or you could try switchboard/the classifieds if you want a roommate! Welcome to Oberlin
