Where to live off campus-Grad student

My son will be starting at Georgia Tech this fall as a graduate student. He doesn't want to live on campus, but it is very hard to figure out where he should live, and what specific apartment complex/condo will work well. The online reviews seem like they have been invaded by the managers of building either bragging up their complex or tearing down someone elses - it is hard to sort out the truth.

He is looking in the Midtown area.

Does anyone have any advice?

Requirements: two bedroom, clean, rodent and pest free, secure. Prefers two bath but can live with one. Would like washer/dryer in unit.

Thanks!

Midtown is pretty expensive for a grad student – especially since the Atlanta housing market got hit hard and caused lots of people to start renting again. He may want to look further out and take MARTA in or drive (I prefer driving now that they cut back the service, though). I have found the Post stuff to be pretty good (I have lived in two different Post properties).
