Graduating Early

I was just trying to get some ideas from people.

I came out of High School with 30 college credits, so I knew I was probably going to graduate a couple quarters early.

My question for you guys is do you think there are any advantages or disadvantages of graduating Early. I will most likely be finishing up Autumn 2011 so I was just trying to see if I was going to be helped, hurt, or not affected at all.

I was thinking about going to get an MBA after a couple years but I have really locked into being a Financial Planner so I think getting a CFP and getting through the first couple years of 60-70 hour work weeks would be better than an MBA. I do understand though that it wouldn't be a good idea (and would be almost impossible) to be a planner right out of school. My plan is to go to a top private bank (JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, etc.) and work in investment management or Private Wealth Management for two or three years and then get into the business.

So the question is do you think a JP Morgan or Merrill Lynch would look positively or negatively that I finished a couple quarters early?

You can take a semester off and get an extra internship under your belt. That is what I am hoping to do. This way, you graduate on time with the rest of your peers, but have a step up on the competition.

They won’t care either way.
