i'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction to see graduation rates of colleges? like, 4 year, 5 year, 6 year, however they report them. also, retention rates would be good as well.. and what are "good" graduation/retention rates?

Try the IPEDS COOL database:
http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cool/

For retention rates, you can use the collegeboard website. Freshman retention rates are listed with percentage admitted under "acceptance and retention" when clicking the box that I believe says "admission".

collegeresults.org

This presents tables that you can customize. Includes graduation rates, SAT scores, fin aid, lots of other data.

"Good" rates depend on a lot of things. The elite privates tend to have the highest grad rates- top students unlikely to get into academic trouble and either family resources or enough financial aid to get through. Elite publics serve a broader range of students, and have lower rates.

Best to compare among similar types of colleges.
