Grammar question...!

"The Lions Test was a competition in which 200 students participated in."

can you make that sound better? how?

200 students competed in The Lions Test. Competed and competition seems to be redundant. I'm not sure you need the word competition in it. And in which 200 students participated in just sounds awkward and wrong

hmmz

how about

"He placed third in the Lions test; a competition in which 200 students participated in."

Uh well, that makes no sense, because you're getting He placed third out of no where.

it's from a paragraph fixing section... there's a short background

easy: The Lions Test was a competition in which 200 students participated.

The final 'in' is wrong. It's being replaced with "in which".

Ohhhh theres a short background. urs is ok, if u needed to combine the he placed third

yeah just take out "in" at the end

its redudant
